Must:
I am looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in informatics, computer science, or a similar field with 8-12+ years of relevant work experience, or a master’s degree in the same fields with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role supporting a software development company.
- Familiarity with the Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket suite and ITIL practices.
- Working experience with Linux, Java, Angular, XML, APIs, REST, and related technologies.
- A solution-oriented mindset and logical thinking skills. An enthusiasm for aviation is a significant plus.
Responsibilities
In the position of Sr. Support Engineer, I will require you to:
- Assist airline customers with their daily operations, providing support on various applications.
- Analyze issues by digging through logs, connecting to servers, querying databases, and documenting recurring issues and guides.
- Communicate effectively with customers, translating technical issues into simpler terms suitable for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with other Support Engineers, as well as the Operations and Product teams, to resolve reported issues or handle business requests.
- Write documentation and develop procedures for team processes, send out communications about upcoming releases and maintenance, and prioritize workload based on ticket severity.
- Provide second-line support to tackle advanced issues while keeping up to date with internal processes and known bugs.
Description
This role is based in Las Colinas, TX, and requires an onsite presence at least two days a week, as per management directions. I expect you to work independently and lead by example, delivering high-quality service daily to ensure our customers are satisfied. Your schedule will include a rotating shift of two days of work, two days off, and three days of work, three days off, with 12-hour shifts starting from 7 am to 7 pm.
In addition, there is a requirement for at least three weeks of training in Belgium for onboarding, with some additional travel potentially needed in the future.
