Requirements
Must:
We require candidates to have successfully completed an undergraduate degree in engineering from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program. Preferred majors include electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering. We seek individuals with 5-7 years of directly related experience, including at least 3 years in a DoD setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in requirements development, production and deployment, architecture development and implementation, modeling and simulation (including Model Based Systems Engineering principles), verification and validation, technical data package development, and principles of configuration management. Familiarity with network architectures, embedded systems, application deployment across various systems and hardware (including cloud deployment and virtualization) is expected. Additionally, knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, Electronic Warfare, and/or Air Combat operations, including live aircrew training and development of tactics, techniques, and procedures, is desired. A Secret security clearance is required for this position.
Responsibilities
As a Journeyman Systems Engineer, I will deliver efficient and effective solutions across various industries. I will apply theoretical and practical knowledge of system engineering throughout the acquisition life cycle, participating in requirements analysis, system disposal, and engineering support for design, operation, and sustainment of systems. My responsibilities will include conducting program reviews, preparing technical documents, performing system validations, providing engineering support services, and conducting formal trade studies. I will support engineering technical management processes, plan and execute technical reviews and assessments, and assist with the development of critical engineering documentation. I will analyze system concepts and user requirements, develop operational requirements, and ensure compliance with established engineering and acquisition processes.
