Requirements
Must:
We require a Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science, or equivalent experience. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, software development, computer science, or engineering, with a focus on Cybersecurity when not in a directly Cybersecurity-facing role. You should be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD or DoE security clearance and satisfy DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program training requirements within six months of hire. Attention to detail, along with good verbal and written communication skills, is essential.
Preferred qualifications include an active SECRET DoD or DoE security clearance, experience with the Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) and common software development infrastructure (e.g., version control, CI pipelines), proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Rust, Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience implementing secure system baselines in areas such as Authentication and Authorization, Encryption and PKI, computer networking, database systems, and operating systems. Familiarity with SCAP tooling, particularly OpenSCAP, and knowledge of federal or commercial security frameworks (e.g., NIST, SOC 2) will be beneficial. A Security+ certification or an alternate certification satisfying DoD Cyber Workforce Framework qualifications for the Information Systems Security Developer role is also preferred.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with our software development teams to implement Cybersecurity controls throughout a complex software baseline. Your tasks will include analyzing design constraints, evaluating trade-offs in design, and considering lifecycle support for Cybersecurity control implementations. You will also configure third-party software dependencies, like database management systems, in accordance with DISA STIGs. Additionally, you will maintain and develop internal tooling to support the collection of automated scan data, evaluate Cybersecurity control implementations, and conduct corresponding data analysis. You will provide input to Risk Management Framework process activities and maintain and refine Configuration Management processes to ensure accurate traceability from scan data to corresponding code and build artifacts. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

We offer a highly competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), a 3% fully vested company 401K contribution (no employee contribution required), and various insurance coverages (HSA medical insurance, dental, vision, life, long-term disability, hospital indemnity, and optional accident and critical illness insurance). You can also benefit from short-term disability insurance, an annual profit-sharing plan, discretionary performance bonuses, paid parental leave, and generous paid time off (including holiday, vacation, and sick pay), along with flexible work hours.
The pay range for this position is $96,000 - $140,000 per year, and we consider several factors when extending an offer, including the role and associated responsibilities, work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guaranteed compensation.
