Director of Data Science

As the Director of Data Science, I will entrust you with the following responsibilities: - Develop and implement ML modeling, as well as LLM development and fine-tuning strategies, best practices, and standards to enhance AI ML model deployment and monitoring efficiency. You will create a roadmap for NLP, LLM, and GenAI model development and lifecycle implementation. - Design and develop custom ML, GenAI, NLP, and LLM Models for batch and stream processing-based AI ML pipelines, ensuring the end-to-end solution meets all technical and business requirements, including SLA specifications. You will collaborate closely with technology team members and business leads in the design, development, and implementation of these ML model solutions. - Work with the MLOps team to create and maintain robust evaluation solutions and tools to evaluate model performance, accuracy, consistency, and reliability during development and UAT, identifying and implementing model optimizations to improve system efficiency. - Collaborate with the MLOps team for the deployment of machine learning models into production environments, ensuring reliability and scalability. - Ensure smooth integration of machine learning models into production systems by collaborating closely with product teams, business stakeholders, and machine learning and software engineers. - Engage with business and PM stakeholders in roadmap planning and implementation efforts to ensure that technical milestones align with business requirements. - Mentor and develop technical AI/ML, NLP, LLM, and GenAI talent on the team, providing guidance to junior ML scientists and fostering their professional growth. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of ML modeling processes and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing. - Uphold standards, governance, and best practices in ML model development and adhere to model and data governance standards. - Troubleshoot complex issues related to machine learning model development and data pipelines, developing innovative solutions.
