Principal Systems Engineer - HYBRID

- I will provide a system-level perspective to product development that translates customer and internal requirements to a measurable and testable system-level design. - I will lead system-level architecture investigations supported by quantitative analysis, modeling, and trade studies for current and next-generation radiotherapy products. - I will work collaboratively with partner teams, including Product Management, Clinical Physics, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Subsystem teams, Manufacturing, and Service, to define design requirements and interfaces, while understanding impacts on system performance and enterprise needs. - I will make complex technical decisions based on physical principles and experience, including risk trade-offs and anomaly investigations. - I will communicate complex concepts to a wide variety of audiences and bring clarity to ambiguous technical problems. - I will be responsible for system-level documentation defined in the Product Lifecycle Process, including specifications, verification test plans and reports, and design descriptions. - I will conduct and participate in technical and design reviews. - Responsibilities may extend to reliability and sustaining engineering, manufacturing engineering during the transfer to production, as well as addressing issues escalated from installation and field service. - I will provide technical leadership, mentoring, training, and instruction as needed to the rest of the team. - I may take on other duties as assigned.
