Requirements
Must:
- I require an Active Secret clearance.
- Due to federal requirements, I can only consider candidates who are U.S. Citizens without dual citizenship to another country.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is necessary.
- This is an on-site position at a government facility, and I expect my candidates to be present five days per week in Annapolis Junction, MD.
- Candidates must reside within a commutable distance.
- Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required.
- I seek individuals with strong knowledge of VMware vSphere features and capabilities.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies for virtualized environments is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as I value collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- I expect you to configure and maintain VMware components effectively.
- Monitoring virtual infrastructure performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimization strategies to ensure optimal resource utilization will be key duties.
- I need you to deploy and manage virtual machines (VMs), templates, and snapshots.
- Implementing and maintaining security measures for virtualized environments, including access controls, network segmentation, and VM isolation, is critical.
- Creating and maintaining documentation related to virtualization configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides will also be one of your main responsibilities.

Compensation for this role ranges from $75,000 to $120,000 annually, based on various factors including job location, education, training, experience, and other considerations.
