Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Demonstrated experience in designing and developing applications in a UNIX/Linux operating environment
- Experience with SPLUNK, including at least 1 year of architecting, deploying, and general administration
- Experience developing and integrating REST services
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodology
- Strong self-starter with leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Responsibilities
- I will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, such as processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems, based on documented requirements.
- I will work independently or as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, documenting test results and resolving software problem reports.
- I will utilize appropriate software development and design methodologies for the development environment, providing specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions, and requirements analysis and synthesis.
- I will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals and contribute to a productive and innovative work environment.
Description
- Preferred qualifications include experience building large platforms by integrating open-source or commercial software with automation scripting, along with demonstrated experience in designing and developing applications in a Linux operating environment, familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker, and experience deploying applications to container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes. A Bachelor's Degree is also preferred.
- Security clearance requirements state that a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph is mandatory.
- Physical requirements involve sedentary work, including speaking, standing, talking, walking, and working with computers and data. Candidates must be able to handle stress and work under pressure, and possess proficiency in using MS Office and a PC, as well as strong analytical, leadership, listening, and communication skills. Additionally, effective presentation and project management abilities are required, along with competence in computer operating systems and the ability to work well in a team-building environment.
