Requirements
Must:
- I require a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, complemented by 7 or more years of experience in the Information Technology field.
- I expect demonstrated leadership and management experience of people and teams.
- You should have experience in developing and mentoring personnel, as well as identifying opportunities for training and skills advancement.
- A solid knowledge and experience in providing technical management to IT Teams, including procuring, installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining distributed IT systems, is necessary.
- I seek someone with experience interfacing and briefing military, civilian, and contractor personnel at all levels.
- You should be skilled in preparing and presenting senior-level briefings, reports, and IT project schedules.
- It is essential that you possess and can articulate up-to-date knowledge of the latest IT developments and trends.
Responsibilities
- I will need you to develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with our organizational objectives, which include creating technology roadmaps, budget allocation, and future technology adoption.
- I expect you to lead and mentor IT teams across various disciplines, such as systems administration, network engineering, security, and helpdesk, by assigning tasks and evaluating performance.
- You will oversee our IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, data centers, and cloud services, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
- I will rely on you to initiate, plan, and execute IT projects, including new system implementations, upgrades, and system migrations, while adhering to timelines and budgets.
- You will develop and manage the IT budget, optimize resource allocation, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- It is crucial that you effectively communicate IT initiatives and updates to stakeholders at all levels, including executives, users, and technical teams.
- I need you to stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on our organization, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Domestic travel of up to 25% may be required.
Description
- Preferred qualifications include previous NRO and NRO/COMM experience, ITIL Foundations or higher certification, and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- One or more of the following certifications are desired: MCSE - Microsoft Certified System Engineer, MCSA - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, MCITP - Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional, VMware VCP - VMware Certified Professional, CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Administrator, Security +.
- Experience using a Service Desk ticketing system, such as Remedy or ServiceNow, as well as maintaining ICD503 accredited systems, is also preferred.
- Clearance requirements state that you must have a current / active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- The physical requirements include the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, occasional movement within the office to access file cabinets and office machinery, and frequent communication with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
