We are seeking a candidate with strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with co-workers, management, and customers. The ideal applicant should have experience in resolving technical problems involving computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems. We value self-motivated and organized individuals with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service. You need to be adaptable to rapidly changing tasks and be able to quickly learn new skills on the job.
To qualify, you should possess demonstrable problem-solving and technical skills to resolve critical IT issues. Itβs essential to have expertise, training, and hands-on experience with customer-specific systems and technologies. A self-starter attitude, the ability to work independently, and a clear mission focus are vital. Familiarity with Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016 or later, various web browsers, and standard business applications is required. Knowledge of Windows Active Directory, desktop programs, configuration and debugging techniques, VoIP, TCP/IP networking, and virus scanning services is essential. You should also have experience with servers, printers, and peripheral devices. A BA/BS degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and work experience totaling 6+ years, are preferred.
Responsibilities
As an Enterprise IT Support Officer (EITSO) in our Location Support Team, you will oversee several responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Incident Response:
- Utilize ITIL-based processes to streamline the receipt, triage, categorization, action, and resolution of incoming incidents, requests, and demands.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, design, and implement fixes.
- Provide basic user training for off-the-shelf applications, office products, and some custom tools.
- Perform remote desktop triage and system repairs using remote tools.
- Answer questions regarding system procedures, online transactions, systems status, and downtime procedures.
- Collaborate with network services, software systems engineering, or application development to restore services and identify problems.
Deskside Support:
- Similar to incident response, assist with user training, query resolution, and collaboration with technical teams to restore service.
All Roles:
- Local travel between customer buildings may be required, along with maintaining and updating records and databases.
- Ensure compliance with contractual performance criteria and utilize best practices to improve products or services.
Description
The hours of coverage for this role will be from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the understanding that support may be needed outside of core hours depending on customer and mission needs. Additionally, specific physical requirements include being able to remain stationary for up to 50% of the time, traverse between buildings, and position oneself for equipment maintenance. Candidates should be able to operate a computer and move equipment that weighs 50 pounds or more.
