Requirements

Must:
We require candidates to have an active Secret clearance, and due to agency and contract requirements, only U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship will be considered. Our systems demand 24x7x365 uptime, so candidates must be willing and able to participate in a rotational on-call schedule. You should reside within commuting distance of Colorado Springs, CO, and be available to work onsite at the customer’s discretion, which includes on-site work during the transition period. A minimum of 12 years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or in a related field is essential. A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required. Experience with technologies such as Docker Enterprise, Splunk, Chef, Chef Automate, Chef (Ruby), Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Openshift is preferred. Additionally, hands-on experience with Terraform (IaC), Jenkins groovy scripts, and Python is required.

Responsibilities

As a DevSecOps Engineer, I will expect you to innovate and develop cutting-edge solutions through automation, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and various DevSecOps tools. You will ensure that our infrastructure, services, and applications meet all standards, including security, monitoring, performance, and SLAs. Your role will involve collaborating with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain secure and automated infrastructure. You will implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, including code scanning, vulnerability assessment, and threat modeling. Further, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of applications, as well as integrating security controls into the CI/CD process by employing automated scanning and testing techniques. Automation and orchestration of security processes, including incident response and threat detection, using technologies like Splunk and Chef Automate, will also be vital. As a mentor, you will guide junior engineers in DevSecOps practices and techniques while staying updated on emerging trends, tools, and practices.
