Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor’s degree and have at least 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of directly applicable experience may substitute for a degree.
- I am a U.S. Citizen and possess an Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- I have completed CCNA certification upon hire.
- I meet DoD 8750 requirements and am eligible for IAT Level II access upon hire.
- I possess knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP, etc.).
- I have knowledge of the hardware, software, and equipment associated with USBICES.
- I am familiar with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features.
- I have experience working with hardware vendors involved in the incident resolution process.
- I understand STIG patching, compliance, and other security activities.
- I have experience using network management tools and concepts.
- I am experienced in a distributed network environment.
- I am skilled in working with Cisco routers and switches, specifically in supporting DoD networks.
- I am capable of creating network diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
- I have hands-on experience with twisted pair cable, patch panels, and other layer 1 maintenance and installation.
- I understand that this work is typically performed at client site locations, requiring proper safety precautions and may involve some physical effort.
- I am willing to be on-call for troubleshooting and support.
- I am willing to perform systems maintenance duties after hours and on weekends.
- I understand that I may be required to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- In this role, I will provide advice and training to end-users and less-experienced network personnel.
- I will identify, analyze, and resolve network incidents and problems.
- I will provide network, equipment, and specialized training along with technical guidance.
- I will establish network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
- I will evaluate, administer, and maintain voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
- I will manage the usage and performance of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
- I will maintain the network to meet Enterprise Service Availability and Service Level Agreement requirements.
- I will utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) Principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
- I will ensure network security is maintained and compliance with security policies and procedures is upheld.
- I will participate in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.
- I will interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
- I will assist in the development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure.
- I will provide Tier I-II support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of issues.
- I will participate in special projects as assigned.
Description
I am excited to contribute to the Leidos Digital Modernization team as a Senior Network Administrator supporting the Air Force’s U.S. Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System Extended (BICES-X) program in Doral, FL. This on-site position plays a crucial role in supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on emerging global threats affecting mission and coalition partner nations. I am part of an internationally dispersed team that directly supports the warfighter and their missions.
While the pay range for this role is $87,100.00 - $157,450.00, please note that this is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors influencing the offer will include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, skills, internal equity, and applicable market data.
