Requirements
Must:
- BS/BA degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of previous relevant experience; or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- U.S. Citizenship
- Experience supporting applications within the AWS Cloud environment
- Experience troubleshooting application production problems and providing prompt solutions
- Experience monitoring production applications and databases
- Ability to analyze recurring problems and initiate solutions to prevent reoccurrence
- Experience supporting O&M 24x7x365 operations including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA
Responsibilities
As an Operations and Maintenance Systems Engineer, I will be providing operations and maintenance (O&M) support on a mission-critical program that supports the CBP Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD). I will work closely with application teams, end-users, PSPD divisions, and other infrastructure teams to address and resolve production issues effectively. My role will involve maintaining the systems' operational integrity and ensuring the smooth functioning of applications critical to screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry into the United States. Additionally, I will be required to provide onsite support in Ashburn, VA, twice a week.

I am excited to join Leidos, where I will support a complex DHS effort alongside a dedicated team. This position offers the opportunity to leverage my systems and software experience while making meaningful contributions to the Department of Homeland Security and the CBP’s essential missions. Desired skills include holding a DoS Top Secret or DHS Full-BI, strong experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, Kibana, and Grafana, hardware device configuration, Linux and Windows scripting, software installation, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
The pay range for this role is $81,250.00 - $146,875.00, with additional considerations based on my education, experience, knowledge, skills, and the responsibilities of the job.
