Requirements

Must:
We are looking for candidates who hold a Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated success in project management approaches, planning, and executing large and complex IT migrations and consolidations. Strong resource planning and task scheduling skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities, are essential to handle any issues during project completion. A working knowledge of network, systems/compute, and user support requirements, along with experience with discovery, event management, and ITSM tools, is crucial. We value candidates who have successfully collaborated with leadership to define resource needs for projects and have experience in performing project audits, monitoring and tracking corrective actions, managing process improvements, and reviewing contract deliverables. Proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint) is required. This position is a hybrid role, and candidates must be able to work onsite at Ft. Meade 2-3 days a week, possibly more if requested by the customer.

Responsibilities

As an IT Services Technical Project Manager, you will serve as the leader responsible for guiding IT modernization and technical refresh projects through all phases of the project management lifecycle, from initiation through closure. You will lead the project resources, ensuring all tasks and project requirements are completed in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget. Your role involves identifying and managing risks while resolving challenges, and collaborating with program and government stakeholders to enhance project management processes and procedures. Additionally, you will work with functional support teams—including operations team subject matter experts, project controls, contracts, subcontracts, and security—to ensure efficient project execution. Other key responsibilities include reporting project status, documenting lessons learned for continual improvement, managing project milestones, organizing meetings to discuss goals and progress, and using project management tools to track performance and schedule adherence. You are expected to manage the Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) process, assist with the maintenance of the program’s Integrated Data Environment (SharePoint), and support the technical publications team with writing, peer reviews, and file management. Attending technical meetings and preparing formal written minutes for delivery to the government will also be part of your responsibilities.

Description

We prefer candidates who are familiar with DISA and DOD regulations and directives, and who have project integration and services experience. Experience supporting multiple senior-level managers and Program Management Office leaders for large DoD contracts is a plus, as well as proficiency with software development tools and a PMP certification. The pay range for this position is $87,100.00 - $157,450.00, which serves as a guideline not a guarantee of compensation, with various factors influencing offer extensions.
