- Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
- Security Clearance: US Security Clearance of Secret or higher is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
- Certifications Required: DoDD 8570 IAT level II (e.g., Security+ CE, etc.) and CSSP Infrastructure Support (e.g., CEH or CySA+, etc.). Computing environment certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, etc.) is required.
- Experience Requirement: Minimum 4 years as a Cisco Network Administrator or similar role with proven success in network infrastructure projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Cisco ISE, DNA Center, Catalyst Center, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other Cisco networking technologies; strong knowledge of switching, routing, technologies, VLANs, trunking, and network security protocols.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting Experience: Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for teamwork.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Network Engineer, I will:
- Assist in the design, analysis, testing, and implementation of secure network architectures.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide design recommendations to enhance security.
- Manage WAN, LAN, CAN, and remote network security, including incident and problem management.
- Oversee the sustainment, maintenance, and configuration of security infrastructure (including firewalls, F5 load balancers, web gateways, mail gateways, IDS, and management tools).
- Report, document, and investigate security-related incidents, leading the development and implementation of corrective measures.
- Develop and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) for security tools.
- Evaluate and report on new network security technologies to enhance network capabilities.
- Manage large-scale enterprise security solutions.
- Maintain fundamental knowledge of networks, networking, and information security standards, frameworks, policies, controls, and regulations.
- Demonstrate extensive experience with firewall and IPS technologies.
Description
The likely salary range for this position is between $102,000 - $138,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation as salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and may be affected by contractual requirements.
I can expect a 40-hour work week with no travel required. The position is onsite in Doral, FL, USA.
