Requirements
Must:
- Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance is required.
- I require candidates to have a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with complex communications networks. Candidates without a college degree will be considered if they show substantial experience and knowledge in lieu of a degree.
- I look for individuals with operational experience and/or knowledge of Special Operations Forces (SOF).
- Knowledge of complex cybersecurity technologies and solutions is essential.
- An understanding of and experience with the DoD Architecture Framework and other relevant DoD network architecture and strategic planning instructions is necessary.
- Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of the following technologies and protocols: VLANs, 802.1Q, TCP/IP, Routing (BGP, OSPF), Firewalling, Wireless Networking, DNS, DHCP, Windows Networking, Windows, Linux, and Browser Fingerprints.
- I require at least 9 years of related experience.
- US Citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- I expect you to perform requirements collection, analysis, and refinement.
- You will design and plan multi-layered communications networks along with associated cybersecurity solutions.
- I need you to provide input to specifications and detailed network architecture artifacts.
- It is your responsibility to provide guidance on which system details are externally discoverable to maintain proper cyber posture.
- I ask that you provide specific, detailed technical recommendations for the most efficient solutions to meet operational requirements.
- You will develop integration strategies for proposed solutions and research, evaluate, and report on new/emerging network and cybersecurity technologies to enhance performance, security, and reliability of the network.
- I require you to contribute to the program Technology Roadmap and provide independent verification and validation of vendor-recommended solutions.
Description
I offer a competitive salary range of $102,000 - $138,000, though actual compensation will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements, and may fall outside this range. This role requires about 40 scheduled weekly hours with less than 10% travel and will be an onsite position located in Tampa, FL, USA.
