Requirements

Must:
- I require an Associate's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience. - I expect at least 5 years of experience in desktop support or a similar IT role. - You should have strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite. - Familiarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting is necessary. - Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users are essential. - A Security+ certification is required, or you must be able to obtain it within 90 days of hire. - TS/SCI Clearance is mandatory, and eligibility to obtain a CI Polygraph is needed. - I need you to be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - A willingness to provide occasional after-hours support is also expected.

Responsibilities

- As a Desktop Engineer, you will provide excellent frontline support for desktop systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues. - You will manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights. - Installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop operating systems and applications will be part of your role. - You'll respond to and resolve user tickets in a timely and professional manner. - Regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance and security will be your responsibility. - You'll assist with the implementation of new technologies and software deployments. - Documenting technical solutions and maintaining a knowledge base for common issues will be required. - Collaboration with other IT teams to resolve complex issues and improve overall service delivery is key. - Basic network troubleshooting and support will be part of your daily tasks. - You may also conduct user training sessions on new software or hardware as needed.
