Must:
We are seeking candidates with hands-on experience in cost optimization tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or GCP Billing. You should have experience in support and/or engineering across various technical disciplines including security, databases, networking, collaboration, desktop systems, storage, backup/recovery, and cloud platforms. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential to effectively convey information to customers and all levels within our organization. A proven ability to understand company business problems and identify technical solutions is vital to this role.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will ensure adherence to architecture standards and roadmaps while implementing overall infrastructure and middleware components in collaboration with our infrastructure teams. You will design solutions that meet service level agreements (SLAs) for performance, uptime, disaster recovery, and scalability. It will be your responsibility to define and create operational procedures and processes, and to ensure that post-production operational processes are well-designed prior to transitioning projects into the support phase. You will stay engaged by providing off-hours support as required and will need to maintain ownership of significant expenditures. Your tasks will also involve identifying cost-saving opportunities, implementing real-time cost tracking and reporting tools, and developing scripts and policies to enforce cost control measures.
Description
We are particularly interested in candidates with architectural skills capable of assisting with realizing the costs of automation and identifying further opportunities for savings. Familiarity with retail experiences may be beneficial in understanding our unique challenges. You should be proficient in cloud computing platforms such as Azure and GCP, have skills in scripting and automation (preferably Terraform), and be familiar with cost management tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and GCP Billing. You will collaborate closely with finance, engineering, and operations teams to align cloud spending with our business objectives and implement financial planning strategies to effectively manage and predict cloud expenses.
