Requirements
Must:
- I have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in continuous improvement, process management, data analysis, or strategic planning.
- I possess at least 3 years of experience in a procurement role as a sourcing strategy specialist, which is a plus.
- I hold a bachelor's degree in business data science and analysis, procurement, engineering, supply chain management, management, or an equivalent field.
- A master's degree in one of the aforementioned fields is preferred.
- An MBA or certifications in continuous improvement methods, project management, Tableau, SAP, and Power BI are also advantageous.
- I excel at inspiring others through effective communication and adapt my approach to my audience, especially when engaging large teams or senior business leaders.
- I demonstrate the ability to negotiate and influence others using data to support decision-making.
- I am skilled at maintaining internal networks to create a better overall work experience and proactively supporting clients.
- I seek to empower myself and others for CN's success through continuous feedback and coaching.
- I have strong analytical reasoning skills for making recommendations to achieve sustainable performance.
- I stay informed about industry trends to enhance my expertise and improve my work performance.
- I strive to meet ambitious goals and commit to performance expectations.
- I am bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities
- I lead efforts to define and implement initiatives selected by senior management in Procurement and Supply Chain, utilizing recognized project management methodologies.
- I am responsible for disseminating the data analysis roadmap within the department, developing data models, governing data, communicating, and visualizing information, launching new data solutions and tools, educating others about data analysis practices, and supporting initiatives to enhance overall data usage.
- I ensure the dashboard and key performance indicators (KPIs) are updated, monitor incident report failures, and take corrective actions and necessary improvements to maintain existing solutions.
- I develop training materials, such as presentations and handouts, and conduct training sessions.
- I define and track key performance indicators while supporting other teams in data compilation and reporting.
- I manage and improve departmental processes, supporting cross-functional reengineering initiatives and value stream mapping.
- I promote and sustain a Lean management system, serving as a Lean leader and providing coaching to peers and colleagues to develop similar skills.
- I determine, initiate, and plan improvement mandates and projects to meet the department's goals and CN's overall strategy.
- I oversee the execution of mandates and the delivery of end-to-end projects, which includes designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions.
- I standardize processes and routines within Procurement and Supply Chain while providing appropriate support to various teams during transitions.
- I act as a project manager by coordinating tasks for indirect resources assigned to projects.
- I ensure accurate and consistent communication and feedback throughout project durations, including follow-ups, regular updates for teams, and management briefings.
