Requirements

Must:
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) for new and existing systems. - Experience programming with at least one software programming language. - Preferred qualifications include: - 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. - Experience with load balancing technologies like NGINX and HTTP Proxy. - Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure software or distributed systems. - Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle. - Distributed systems and networking design and implementation experience. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. - Experience mentoring junior software development engineers and driving engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

We want to help lead the cloud revolution and build software that thrives at immense scale. As part of our team, you will be involved in building and launching new services and features regularly. Our services include Application Load Balancer (ALB), Network Load Balancer (NLB), Gateway Load Balancer (GWLB), and Privatelink. You will experience frequent software deployment, receive fast feedback from real customers around the globe, and witness the results of your work coming to fruition. You'll engage in solving real-world problems, such as ensuring fast application scaling and designing load balancing solutions that provide the highest levels of fault tolerance using Amazon EC2. You will also have the unique opportunity to help build large-scale systems capable of handling terabytes of data daily.
