Requirements
Must:
- I have 4+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- I possess 7+ years of direct experience working within engineering teams.
- I have 7+ years of experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) both new and existing systems.
- I have knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/network development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations.
- I have experience partnering with product or program management teams.
Responsibilities
- As a Software Development Manager in Network Capacity Services, I will lead and grow a multi-skilled team consisting of software engineers, technical program managers, and applied scientists.
- I will coach and mentor my team to continuously raise the performance bar.
- I will be responsible for both tactical and strategic planning for my team, contributing to the larger organizational planning. Collaboration with AWS service teams, security operations, and infrastructure teams will be vital as I continuously identify, refine, and develop new ideas and opportunities.
- I will run our services, ensuring the highest standards of scalability, availability, and security while consistently improving cost efficiencies.
