Requirements
Must:
We seek a candidate with the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience in design or architecture, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems.
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field is a plus.
Responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer, I will oversee the complete software development lifecycle, which includes defining, prioritizing, designing, building, and testing new features. My responsibilities will also include:
- Operating an AWS business with globally distributed servers and customers at a massive scale.
- Understanding what it takes to grow and operate a global business of our scale.
- Collaborating within a diverse and talented team of engineers, security experts, and operations managers.
- Leading and mentoring fellow engineers, fostering a customer-centric approach to our work.
- Building creative short-term and long-term solutions in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.
